Hey hookie dookie, sand the door so you get the brush marks out, I wouldn't use a chemical of any kind to strip that door and the painter that said he'd take it off and spray that's the guy for you. You don't need to sand that door down to scratch just the imperfections you made buy painting it in the direct sun light, any of these fiberglass & steel doors you have to put a drying retardent in your paint like "Flotrol" so it doesn't dry too fast .
